Announces New Program with the Buoniconti Fund
MILWAUKEE--(BUSINESS WIRE)--
REV Group (NYSE:REVG), a $2.4 billion manufacturer of industry-leading
specialty vehicle brands and leading provider of parts and services,
announced today that it is combining its two wheelchair accessible van
brands – ElDorado Mobility and recently acquired AutoAbility – into a
new Mobility brand – Revability.
The new Revability
brand features a diverse line of side and rear-entry mobility vans for
the consumer market and a line of commercial rear-entry wheelchair
accessible vans for the taxi, non-medical (cot van) and paratransit
segments in the U.S. and Canada. The rear and side-entry vans are
available in manual and powered rear-entry access, in long or short cut
floor plans. A number of chassis types are up-fitted including: Dodge
Grand Caravan, Chrysler Pacifica, Toyota Sienna and the Dodge Ram
ProMaster series. All vehicles are crash tested and meet FMVSS and CMVSS
safety standards and all commercial offerings are ADA compliant.
As part of the new brand launch, REV Group is honored to have had the
opportunity to donate a new Revability
wheelchair accessible van to a needy family at the 32nd
Annual Great Sports Legend Event to benefit The Buoniconti Fund, held in
New York City on September 25, 2017 (www.TheBuonicontiFund.com/GSLD).
This renowned event benefits The Buoniconti Fund (www.TheBuonicontiFund.com)
which is the fundraising arm of The Miami Project to Cure Paralysis. The
Miami Project, a designated Center of Excellence at the University of
Miami’s Miller School of Medicine, is the world’s most comprehensive
spinal cord injury research center. Since its inception in 1985, the
Great Sports Legends Dinner has honored more than 300 sports legends and
honorees and has helped The Buoniconti Fund raise more than $350 million
for The Miami Project’s spinal cord injury research programs. The
Buoniconti Fund to Cure Paralysis, through the research efforts of The
Miami Project to Cure Paralysis, is committed to finding a cure for
paralysis resulting from spinal cord injury and to seeing millions
worldwide walk again.
In addition to the wheelchair accessible van donated at the Great Sports
Legends Event, REV is pleased to announce that its Mobility Division has
established a new program with The Buoniconti Fund to donate $100 for
each Revability
van sold in 2018 – up to $50,000 in the first year.
John Walsh, REV Bus & Mobility Group President commented, “This is a
very exciting time for REV and the Mobility Division to be able to
combine two great brands in the wheelchair accessible van market –
AutoAbility and Eldorado Mobility – into one new brand – Revability.
With the resources of REV, our excellent manufacturing facilities, a
strong new Mobility management team and unparalleled customer service, Revability
is positioned for great success. We are equally excited to be working
with The Buoniconti Fund and increasing our commitment to the 'Ability
Community.'"
Marc Buoniconti, President of The Miami Project and The Buoniconti Fund,
commented, “We are pleased that the REV Group stepped up this year and
appreciate their generous donation of a Revability
van to this needy family. I look forward to working with REV this coming
year with their increasing commitment to the Buoniconti Fund.”
